Cradley Heath, UK - VCS Durability Engineering Limited (VCS), a subsidiary of US-based VCS Engineering, Inc., is pleased to announce the recent acquisition of the Structural Investigations Group of MATtest Site Services Limited (SIG). The Glasgow, Scotland, based group, led by founder Stephen Mogford, provides clients with a range of site testing services for concrete infrastructure, including locating steel reinforcement, determination of concrete cover, concrete crack analysis, chloride content, and corrosion potentials. The SIG range of services complements VCS’s focus on providing solutions for engineers, contractors, and asset managers facing corrosion and concrete durability concerns, including non-destructive testing, corrosion engineering, service life modeling, StructureView® remote monitoring, and cathodic protection design services. MATtest founder Stephen Mogford and his team will be based in Glasgow at 9 Harvie Street and will continue to provide the same high-quality service to the region and throughout the United Kingdom and Europe.
