FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TAMPA, FL - January 1, 2023 – VCS Engineering, Inc., a pioneer in providing cutting-edge durability engineering solutions to extend the service life of structures, announces the integration of its NDT Corporation subsidiary via a corporate merger effective January 1, 2024.  Concurrently, the newly formed NDT Division of VCS Engineering is undergoing a vibrant branding update that reflects the NDT Division’s commitment to innovation and excellence. As part of the integration, VCS takes a moment to honor the rich history of NDT Corporation.

NDT Corporation was founded in 1994 by Paul Fisk and Richard Holt. Paul and Dick were colleagues at Weston Geophysical for 20 years, where they developed expertise in seismic risk analysis for nuclear power plants. During that time, they discovered that the same testing protocol could be used to determine the condition and strength of concrete and introduced their proprietary impact echo (IE) and pulse velocity (PV) system that simultaneously collects IE/PV data to assess reinforced concrete for delamination, voids, cracking, and gives an in-situ compressive strength.

One of NDT Corporation’s unique and signature capabilities is in evaluating grouting defects in bonded post-tensioning, which drew the attention of VCS several years ago. As a result, VCS and NDT began to partner on condition assessments for various types of concrete infrastructure projects.    In January 2017, NDT Corporation became a subsidiary of VCS.

By combining the geophysical and concrete testing skills from NDT and the corrosion and concrete durability expertise of VCS, the newly amalgamated group offers the latest knowledge and experience in assessing and extending the service life of structures. It underscores VCS Engineering's dedication to providing comprehensive services, from inspection and assessment to design and remote monitoring. The integration of this specialized division enhances the company's ability to ensure the integrity and reliability of critical infrastructure and components across various industries.

Simultaneously, the NDT Division (NDT) is excited to unveil its dynamic branding update, aligning with VCS’ branding changes from early 2023 and reinforcing its position as a leader in the structural assessments industry. NDT’s refreshed brand identity reflects VCS Engineering's forward-thinking approach and commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements.

"As we integrate the NDT into our portfolio, we recognize the importance of reflecting our evolution through a modernized brand identity. The refreshed look not only represents our commitment to innovation but also symbolizes the dynamic growth and expansion that this integration brings to VCS Engineering," said Matt Miltenberger, VP at VCS Engineering.

The updated branding incorporates a contemporary logo, an expanded color palette, and a refined visual language that resonates with VCS Engineering's progressive ethos. The changes are designed to communicate the company's technological focus, expertise, and customer-centric approach. The integration ensures seamless collaboration between the VCS’s existing engineering solutions and the specialized NDT services.
